The Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, has engaged the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) in a bid to secure support through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, has engaged the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) in a bid to secure support through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Addressing CCECC representatives during a meeting at the Vice Chancellor’s Conference Room on the main campus in Ojo, Lagos, Professor Adenike Omotunde Boyo, Acting Vice Chancellor, emphasized LASU’s co-hosting role in the upcoming 11th Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU) Games alongside the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

Themed “LAGOS 2024: Unite, Compete, Excel,” the 11th FASU Games are scheduled to take place from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 29, 2024. LASU seeks CCECC’s support to ensure a successful sporting event. The CCECC team, led by Project Manager Haydan Teng, lauded LASU’s efforts in positioning itself as the Best Institution in West Africa. During the meeting, the team presented a proposal for the installation of solar power generation systems to the University Management.

Top officials from LASU, including Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Professor Olufunsho Abayomi Omobitan, Acting Bursar Mr Adekunle Odunlami, and University Librarian Dr Omawunmi Makinde, were present. Other university members, including engineers, registrars, and staff from various offices, also attended the meeting.The vote of thanks was delivered by the Acting Registrar/Deputy Registrar for Academic Staff Establishment, Mr Samuel Otesanya.
