LASU Vice-Chancellor Delivers 2026 Ramadan Message

The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, has extended a warm and spiritual greeting to the university community as the holy month of Ramadan commences. 

In an official message addressed to "world-class students and colleagues," the Vice-Chancellor described Ramadan as a sacred period for deep spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and sacrifice.

Professor Olatunji-Bello emphasized that the season offers a unique opportunity to strengthen the bonds of the university through the values of tolerance, humility, and peaceful coexistence.

Key highlights of her message included:

Strengthening Community: An encouragement for all staff and students to embrace mutual respect and empathy, fostering harmony both within and beyond the various LASU campuses.

Academic Dedication: A call to use the spiritual season as inspiration to recommit to the institution's core mandates of excellence in teaching, research, and service to humanity.

Spiritual Petitions: Prayers for the university to be blessed with continued progress, peace, and prosperity throughout the fasting period.

The Vice-Chancellor concluded her address by wishing the entire Muslim Ummah a rewarding and blessed month, ending with the traditional greeting, "Ramadan Kareem!"
