LAUTECH Lecturer wins Innovative UK Grants Worth £182,442

A lecturer and associate dean of the Faculty of Food and Consumer Sciences, Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH), Oyo State, Dr. Islamiyat Folashade Bolarinwa, has won two grants totalling £182,442 from Innovative UK.

A lecturer and associate dean of the Faculty of Food and Consumer Sciences, Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH), Oyo State, Dr. Islamiyat Folashade Bolarinwa, has won two grants totalling £182,442 from Innovative UK.

According to the senior lecturer at LAUTECH, the grants are in collaboration with some academics at the University of Leeds.

According to findings by Myschoolnews, the purpose of the first grant of £29,726 whose tenure runs between October 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023, is to increase the availability of high protein foods and reduce Protein-energy malnutrition.

The second grant of £152,715, running for April 2023 to July 2024, is to serve the purpose of reducing post-harvest losses of food crops and increase food security.

They are both under the Knowledge Transfer Partnership.
