Lukman Adeku Named Best Graduating Male Doctor of Pharmacy at BUK

Following the 3rd induction and oath-taking ceremony held on January 13, 2026, Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has announced Lukman Adeku as the Best Graduating Male Student in the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program for the 2023/2024 academic session.

Adeku achieved this distinction with a strong Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.53, placing him among the top academic performers in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

His recognition comes as part of a cohort of 51 new inductees celebrated for their academic rigor and readiness to enter the healthcare sector. The University management, led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Haruna Musa, fsi, commended Adeku for his dedication to the profession, noting that his performance exemplifies the high standards maintained by the institution.

As a newly inducted Doctor of Pharmacy, Adeku will proceed to the compulsory internship program overseen by the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria (PCN), joining his peers in the mission to enhance innovative access to medicines across the country.
