MAAUN Group of Universities, IOU Sign MoU for Joint Research and Cultural Cooperation

The MAAUN Group of Universities and the International Open University (IOU) in Gambia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on joint research projects and publications. The partnership involves Maryam Abacha American University (MAAUN) in Nigeria and Niger Republic, Franco British International University (FBIU) in Kaduna, and IOU in Gambia.

The virtual signing ceremony, facilitated by Professor Abubakar Sadiq from the Institute of Africa Higher Education, Research and Innovation, highlighted the significance of the partnership, which also includes student exchange and mutual support for academic activities.

MAAUN Nigeria's President, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr, emphasized the commitment to expanding academic opportunities, resource-sharing, and promoting global cultural understanding. Dr. Bilal Philips, Founder of IOU, expressed his institution’s dedication to enhancing higher education through such partnerships.
