Adebisi Paul has officially graduated with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Statistics with First Class Honours from the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Nigeria's leading university in technology. His academic journey, marked by perseverance, grit, and faith, is a testament to overcoming adversity and pursuing one's dreams against all odds.

Adebisi's journey began after completing secondary school in 2015. Despite his aspirations, he faced significant challenges, including financial constraints and multiple unsuccessful attempts to gain university admission. He first attempted the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam in 2016, but financial limitations prevented him from progressing with his application to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) for Post-UTME.

In 2017, he gained admission to study Building Technology at The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, but his dream was always to graduate from a renowned university. Undeterred by setbacks, Adebisi tried once more in 2018 and succeeded in gaining admission to FUTA, where he pursued his passion for Statistics.

Reflecting on his journey, Adebisi expressed his deep gratitude to God, his supportive family, friends, mentors, and lecturers who helped him achieve his dream.

Throughout his academic career at FUTA, Adebisi achieved several impressive milestones:

  • Graduated with a First Class Honours in Statistics.
  • Made the Dean’s List in 5 out of 10 semesters.
  • Coauthored an academic paper accepted for publication.
  • Awarded prestigious scholarships including the MTN Foundation Scholarship (2022-2024) and Model Youth Square Scholarship (2022).
  • Received the Ondo State Government Bursary Award (2023-2024).

Beyond academics, Adebisi also made significant contributions to student leadership and volunteer work:

  • Served as General Secretary of the Association of Statistics Students of Nigeria (ASSON), FUTA (2021-2023).
  • Participated in Enactus FUTA (2021-2024).
  • Currently serving as Vice President II of the Ondo State Baptist Youth Conference (2022-present).
  • Engaged as a Mission Officer in the Ondo State Baptist Royal Ambassadors (2023-present).
