Mishi Alfred Emerges as Overall Best Graduating Student at UNIJOS

The University of Jos (UNIJOS) has celebrated the remarkable academic achievement of Mishi Alfred, who emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student during the institution's combined 33rd and 34th Convocation ceremonies held in late 2025.

Graduating from the Department of Physics with a stellar Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.85, Mishi has set a new benchmark for academic excellence within the Faculty of Natural Sciences and the university at large.

A native of Aliade, Benue State, Mishi Alfred is an alumnus of the prestigious Mount Saint Gabriel’s Secondary School, Makurdi (commonly known as Gabrielites). His transition from a strong foundational education to the pinnacle of academic success at UNIJOS is being hailed as a story of unwavering focus and resilience.

The University of Jos leadership, during the convocation address, urged other students to emulate Mishi’s dedication. "Mishi Alfred’s journey reflects the core values of our institution—discipline and dedication. He has not only done himself proud but has elevated the standard of the Department of Physics," a university spokesperson noted.
