MOUAU Holds 65th Inaugural Lecture as Prof. Ursula Akanwa Speaks on Assessment for Sustainable Development
The Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), will on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, host its 65th Inaugural Lecture titled “Assessment for Policy and Decision Making: An Imperative for Sustainable Development.”
The Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), will on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, host its 65th Inaugural Lecture titled “Assessment for Policy and Decision Making: An Imperative for Sustainable Development.”
The lecture will be delivered by Professor Ursula Ngozi Akanwa, a Professor of Educational Measurement and Evaluation in the College of Education of the institution.
According to a release signed by the Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Nkeiruka Charity Mbanasor, the event will commence at 1:00 p.m. (West Central Africa Time). The University community and the general public have been formally invited by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, on behalf of the Senate and Management.

Professor Akanwa, a distinguished scholar and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Administration (FCPA), will explore the role of assessment as a critical tool for effective policy formulation, informed decision-making, and sustainable national development.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and Chairman of the Public Lectures Committee, Professor Nneoma Elechi Obasi, will serve as the RSVP for the event, which will also be accessible virtually via the university’s official meeting link.
