Nasarawa State Government Begins Road Construction at NSUK to Improve Campus Transportation
The commissioner explained that the main campus will receive 3.5 kilometers of road, starting from the second gate, passing through the banking area, and extending to the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.
The Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), is set to benefit from improved transportation and campus aesthetics as the Nasarawa State Government commences the construction of 4.5 kilometers of roads within the institution.
The announcement was made by the Commissioner of Works, Housing, and Transportation, Honorable Muazu Adamu Gosho, during a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, on October 18, 2024. The commissioner explained that the main campus will receive 3.5 kilometers of road, starting from the second gate, passing through the banking area, and extending to the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.
Additionally, the Faculty of Agriculture at the Shabu Campus will benefit from 1 kilometer of road construction, with a completion period of 16 weeks.
Vice-Chancellor Liman expressed her gratitude to Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for the project, which she noted would reduce traffic congestion during high-traffic events like exams. The contractor, Messers Series Projects Nigeria Limited, assured the university of timely completion and quality work.
The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to the visiting dignitaries.
