NBTE Grants Approval for Seven ND Programmes at Kebbi State College of Health Sciences

In a transformative development for vocational and healthcare education in Northern Nigeria, the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has officially approved seven National Diploma (ND) programmes for the Kebbi State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Jega.

The accreditation follows a rigorous resource inspection by the NBTE, marking a significant transition for the institution from offering only professional certificates to awarding nationally recognized diplomas.

The newly approved programmes are expected to enhance the academic profile of the college and provide students with a clearer pathway to higher education and professional licensing.

This milestone is viewed as a major victory for the Kebbi State Government’s agenda to strengthen the state’s healthcare workforce. By securing NBTE backing, graduates of these programmes will now be eligible for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme and seamless direct-entry admissions into universities.

The college management has expressed its readiness to maintain the high standards required by the regulatory body, ensuring that the facility remains a premier destination for health sciences and technology.
