NCAT Zaria Graduates Pioneer Participants of Human Factors and Ground Handling Courses

The management of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, has graduated eleven (11) participants of Human Factors Course No. 1 and ten (10) participants of Ground Handling and Safety Risk Management Course No. 1.

The graduation ceremony was declared open by the Dean, Aviation Management School, Engr. Ishaya Akaba.

In his opening remarks, Engr. Akaba congratulated the participants on their successful completion of the courses, noting that it was the first time such courses were conducted at the College. He urged them to make effective use of the knowledge acquired in NCAT in their respective workplaces.

The course appraisal for the Human Factors Course was delivered by the Course Coordinator, Mr. Mansur Pada. He stated that the course lasted for two (2) weeks and that all eleven (11) participants were sponsored by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). He further noted that all participants successfully passed their examinations and were eligible for graduation.

Similarly, the course appraisal for the Ground Handling and Safety Risk Management Course was delivered by Mr. Shawon Zawua. He stated that the course was held from 23rd March to 1st April 2026, and that all ten (10) participants were sponsored by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

The Deputy Rector (Academic), Capt. Jim Hassan, who represented the Rector/Chief Executive, formally declared the participants graduates of NCAT.

In his closing remarks, he emphasized that the courses are centred on safety, noting that in the aviation industry, safety is paramount and non-negotiable. He urged the graduates to apply the knowledge acquired in their respective workplaces.

The graduation ceremony was attended by the Dean, Student Affairs, Engr. (Mrs.) Mu’azu; the Dean, Air Traffic Services and Communications (ATS/Coms) School, Mal. Nasiru Mu’azu; and the Deputy Registrar (Academic), Mr. Imoh Effiong.
