The National Examinations Council (NECO) has confirmed the full payment of allowances to all 72,138 examiners who participated in the 2024 school-based Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE). This follows a smooth and efficient payment process that began on October 4, 2024.
The council, addressing earlier allegations of unpaid examiners, clarified that the payments were made directly through banks to ensure seamless reconciliation. All transactions have now been fully processed and cleared.
NECO expressed its sincere appreciation to the examiners and other ad-hoc staff for their dedicated contribution to the successful administration of the examination. The council also assured that any individual seeking further clarification can reach out to the appropriate authorities.
