NECO Releases 2024 National Common Entrance Examination Results

The Federal Government has officially announced the release of the 2024 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) results, which determine admissions into Junior Secondary School 1 (JSS1) of the prestigious Federal Unity Colleges across Nigeria. Dr.Sununu revealed that one exceptional candidate achieved a remarkable score of 203 out of a possible 210,while unfortunately,13 candidates scored the lowest mark of one.

The Federal Government has officially announced the release of the 2024 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) results, which determine admissions into Junior Secondary School 1 (JSS1) of the prestigious Federal Unity Colleges across Nigeria.

During a press briefing held in Abuja on Tuesday, Dr. Yusuf Sununu, the Minister of State for Education, shared details about the examination outcomes. A total of 71,291 candidates participated in the NCEE, which took place in 599 examination centers on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

Out of the registered candidates, 66,931 successfully sat for the examination, while 4,360 were absent. Dr.Sununu revealed that one exceptional candidate achieved a remarkable score of 203 out of a possible 210,while unfortunately,13 candidates scored the lowest mark of one.

However, this year witnessed an alarming increase in examination malpractice. A total of 52 candidates—two from Lagos State and 50 from Rivers State—were involved in irregularities during the NCEE.

For the Federal Government Academy (FGA), a total of 2,649 candidates registered for the examination. Of these, 2,336 candidates actively participated, while 313 were absent. The highest score recorded in this examination was 180, while the lowest score was five.
