NELFUND Commences 2025/2026 Disbursement for Sa'adu Zungur University Students

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU), Bauchi State, has officially confirmed the commencement of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) disbursements for the 2025/2026 academic session.

In a statement released on May 2, 2026, signed by the SRC President, Comrade Iliyasu Umar Adamu, the council informed the student body that the long-awaited financial aid process has successfully entered the payout phase.

The university is currently awaiting the official comprehensive list of verified applicants and beneficiaries from NELFUND, which is expected to arrive within the week.

Upon receipt of this list, the university administration will immediately begin the process of remitting refunds to eligible students who had previously covered their fees. The SRC emphasized that the transition from receiving the list to disbursing the refunds is expected to be swift.

The council expressed its satisfaction with this development, describing it as a positive outcome for the student community.

"Every process follows due procedure, and today we are witnessing a positive outcome," the statement noted. "We urge everyone to remain calm and hopeful as the process nears full completion."

The SRC also extended its congratulations to all successful beneficiaries, noting that the fund serves as a vital support system for academic continuity at the institution.
