The Executive Committee of the Nigerian Institute of Architects, Lagos State Chapter (NIALSC), visited Anchor University, Ayobo-Ipaja, Lagos, on February 4, 2025, as part of its ongoing tour of the five schools of architecture in Lagos State. This visit, the third in the series, provided an interactive platform for students and professionals to explore key aspects of architectural practice.
Led by the Chapter Chairman, Arc. Abiodun Fatuyi, the NIALSC delegation was warmly received by the Head of the Architecture Department at Anchor University. The engagement focused on bridging the gap between academic learning and professional practice, emphasizing the evolving demands of the field.
During the session, students actively participated in discussions on innovative design, urban planning, sustainable and culturally relevant architecture, and the future of construction. These conversations provided valuable insights into emerging trends and challenges within the architectural landscape in Nigeria.
Beyond academic discourse, the visit also fostered mentorship and knowledge exchange between experienced architects and aspiring professionals.
