Nigerian Students Claim Victory in Africa Entrepreneurship Challenge

Students from Kosofe Senior College, representing Nigeria at the Junior Achievement Africa Company of the Year (COY) competition held in Kigali, Rwanda, have been honored with two prestigious awards for their entrepreneurial achievements.

The team, comprising Fauzyhat Bello, Moses Ilori, Modinat Kareem, and Chinenye Nworie, operating under the name 'The Sustainable Future Advocate Company,' devised a groundbreaking product called plantain peel briquette. This feat have significantly garnered recognition for this students.

Junior Africa Achievement confirmed this on their official LinkedIn handle. In their exact words, "The people have spoken, and the hashtag #AfricaCOY3 Public Choice Award winner is Sustainable Future Advocates Company from Nigeria! A total of 46,335 votes were cast, and they emerged as the victors with an impressive 19,308 votes. Thanks to everyone who rallied behind our budding entrepreneurs!"

Their accolades include the Public Choice Award, determined by votes from both Nigerians and Africans, as well as the Delta Airline Social Impact Award. These honors reflect the innovative spirit and dedication of the students amidst a competitive field featuring representatives from multiple countries across Africa.

Olaolu Akogun, the Acting Executive Director of Junior Achievement Nigeria, lauded the students' achievements, attributing their success to the collaborative efforts of various partners.
