Nnamdi Azikiwe University Vice-Chancellor Receives Faculty of Arts Delegation
The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, received a delegation from the Faculty of Arts in his office on Friday, 21st November 2025.
The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, received a delegation from the Faculty of Arts in his office on Friday, 21st November 2025.

The delegation, led by Dean Professor Onwudiwe George, congratulated the Vice-Chancellor on his recent appointment and welcomed him to the university. During the visit, Professor George highlighted several challenges facing the Faculty, including inadequate office space, lack of solar lighting and backup power, and insufficient convenience facilities. He also briefed the Vice-Chancellor on the Faculty’s recent recognition as the best-rated Faculty in the university.
Responding, Professor Anyaehie assured the delegation of a personal visit to the Faculty to obtain first-hand information and provide support. He committed to constructing new restroom facilities before January 2026 and reallocating available office space to address current shortages. He also encouraged faculty members to engage in online teaching to further enhance the Faculty’s reputation and urged the Department of Theatre and Film Studies to develop proposals for a film village, noting its revenue-generating potential.
