The solar farm, originally designed to supply clean and reliable energy, reduce electricity costs, and stabilize power supply, had suffered prolonged neglect and technical failures, rendering it inactive. Previous efforts by former administrations to revive the facility were unsuccessful.

Upon assuming office, Professor Anyaehie initiated a comprehensive technical assessment involving professional engineers and renewable-energy experts. He also provided funding for the replacement of vandalized components and removed bureaucratic hurdles slowing down repairs.
