NOUN Abeokuta Study Centre Director Meets Ogun State Deputy Governor, Secures Support for University’s Mission

Dr. Oyekunle Adegboyega, Director of the Abeokuta Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), recently visited the office of Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, in Abeokuta.The meeting was an opportunity for Adegboyega to discuss NOUN's mission and seek support for the university’s educational initiatives.

During the visit, Dr. Adegboyega expressed appreciation for the chance to engage with the Deputy Governor and outlined NOUN’s commitment to using innovative information and communication technology to provide flexible, affordable, and high-quality education. He emphasized NOUN’s goal of delivering education directly to the doorstep of every aspiring learner in Ogun State.

Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele inquired about the function of study centres within an online institution and the reasons behind state support for a federal university. The Deputy Governor showed a keen interest in understanding the impact of NOUN’s study centres and expressed her support for the university. She pledged to advocate for NOUN’s initiatives and contribute to its success.
