NUZAS Sounds Alarm After Student Attack at Sa'adu Zungur University

The National Union of Zazzau Students (NUZAS) has issued a safety alert to students at Sa'adu Zungur University following a recent attack on one of its members.

According to a statement from NUZAS President, Comrd Dogara Bitrus, Polmi Bitrus, a student from the Department of Agric Science, was attacked by unknown individuals at approximately 11 pm on August [date] while returning to his compound after a late-night study session. The attackers attempted to steal his belongings and harm him, leaving him injured and his materials stolen.

In response to the incident, the NUZAS President has urged students to exercise extreme caution and be mindful of their surroundings, especially at night. He advised students to minimize night reading outside and stay safe to avoid similar incidents.

"The environment we are in is not favorable to us, and a lot has been happening. It's high time we avoid some activities and stay safe for our health," said Comrd Dogara Bitrus. "Prevention is better than cure. May the lord continue to protect us."

The university administration has been called upon to review and enhance security measures on campus to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
