NYSC Adamawa Honors Batch C Corps Members for Exceptional Community Projects at Passing-Out Ceremony

The passing-out ceremony of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Batch C Corps Members in Adamawa State was conducted with dignity and a strong sense of fulfilment, as the scheme formally concluded the service year of the corps members.

The event commenced with an opening session as corps members been led in the rendition of the the NYSC Anthem and the NYSC Pledge, setting a solemn and patriotic tone for the ceremony.

In her address, the NYSC Adamawa State Coordinator, Mrs. Caroline Chinedu, commended the corps members for their commitment, resilience, and meaningful contributions to the socio-economic development of the state throughout their service year. She charged them to remain disciplined, law-abiding, and exemplary citizens wherever they may find themselves after service, while offering prayers for their safety, success, and future endeavours.

Highlighting excellence in service, the Head of Corps Discipline and Reward, Mr. Adamu Garba, presented recommendation letters to corps members who distinguished themselves through active and impactful participation in personal Community Development Service (CDS) projects.

Special recognition was accorded to two outstanding corps members for their exceptional personal CDS initiatives. Buba Yepung Shehu was celebrated for empowering 20 persons living with disabilities and for constructing a signpost at Sanda Government Secondary School, Yola. Similarly, Elohor was honoured for donating 50 textbooks to schools within Yola metropolis, thereby supporting educational development.

The ceremony concluded with a group photograph involving the State Coordinator and Local Government Inspectors, symbolising the formal close of the programme. Thereafter, the corps members were orderly arranged to receive their NYSC Certificates of National Service, marking the successful completion of their national assignment.
