OSUN NYSC group visits Abiye Orphanage home, donates gift items

The National Emergency Management Agency CDS Group, Osogbo Local Government Area visited Abiye Orphanage Home in Osogbo, on Wednesday, the 26th day of October, 2022, to sensitize them on disaster management and as well donate gift items to them.

The CDS President, Maxwell Daniel, in his  address stated that this is the era of climate change which has brought a new dimension to the rainfall across the country.

He explained extensively the different ways of managing disaster within our environment as its consequences are always pathetic, pitiable, and painful.

Cash and gift items ranging from indomie, to biscuits, among others were donated by the corps members.

The Administrative Officer of the Home, Adegoke Bukola while presenting a certificate of appreciation to the Group, appreciated them for visiting the Home. She lauded the Scheme for including CDS in its programmes as this has afforded Corps Members the opportunity to touch lives and build lasting legacies of humanitarian service and good deeds.

She further stated that the CDS programme aside affording Corps Members opportunities to impact lives, has also given hope to the people and brought mental and physical development to communities where such projects are executed. 

She enjoined other Corps Members to join hands in rendering services to humanity as the NEMA CDS Group had done.
