The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education in Osun State, Murtala Jimoh has on May 31, directed all schools in the state, both public and private, to adopt the new National Anthem approved by the Federal Government, in order to align with recent developments at the federal level.

The directive, conveyed through a release, revealed the importance of compliance with the updated anthem across educational institutions in the state. The Permanent Secretary emphasized the need for pupils and students to learn and sing the new anthem during their morning assemblies henceforth.

"The Federal Government recently approved a new National Anthem for the country," the statement read.

"It is therefore pertinent for schools across Osun State to comply with this directive."
