Philanthropist Donates 100 Million Naira for UNN Development
Executive Chairman of Chrome companies donates 100 million naira, after receiving an honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree during UNN's 52nd Convocation Ceremony in Nsukka.
Emeka Offor, the Executive Chairman of the Chrome Group of Companies, has generously donated 100 million naira towards the development of the University of Nigeria, UNN.

His philanthropic gesture came shortly after receiving an honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree during UNN's 52nd Convocation Ceremony in Nsukka.
Offor emphasized the longstanding commitment of his foundation, the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation, to advancing education, healthcare, and youth empowerment initiatives. UNN has notably benefited from his foundation's support, particularly through substantial donations of books across various disciplines through the Books For Africa program.
In expressing his motivations, Offor stated, "I aim to leave a legacy not only as a successful businessman but also as a committed philanthropist. My goal is to inspire the next generation of Nigerian entrepreneurs to understand the importance of giving back while achieving financial success."

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Charles Igwe, stated that the university meticulously selected individuals of world-class stature who met the rigorous criteria outlined for the conferment of honorary degrees by UNN.
Igwe highlighted Offor's outstanding contributions as a former student and exemplary representative of the institution. He noted Offor's notable achievements in the oil and gas sectors, along with his successes in various other endeavors.
