Plateau State University Appoints Dr. Keziah Ayuba as First Female Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration

In a historic move, Plateau State University (PLASU) has appointed Dr. Keziah Ayuba as its first female Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration.

Dr. Ayuba, a renowned academic from the Faculty of Management Sciences, was unanimously nominated at the 90th special meeting of the University Senate.

Dr. Ayuba brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served as Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences. Her expertise in Management and Economics, particularly in Managerial Economics and Economic Development, will undoubtedly enhance the university's administrative functions .

The appointment was made during a significant meeting chaired by Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Shedrack Best. Professor Moses Pyefa secured a second two-year term as Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic, while outgoing Deputy Vice Chancellors Professor Moses Pyefa and Associate Professor Jurji Gomwalk were honored in a valedictory session.

Dr. Ayuba's nomination marks a milestone for PLASU, as she becomes the first female to hold this position since the university's establishment. Outgoing Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, Professor Jurji Gomwalk, expressed gratitude for serving his homeland and being a pioneer staff member.

Dr. Ayuba, a native of Shendam, begins her first two-year term, renewable upon completion. Her leadership is expected to contribute significantly to the university's growth and development.
