The University of Mkar, Mkar received a generous donation of four high-quality laptops from Senator (Dr.) Barnabas Gemade, the Chancellor of the university. The laptops, comprising two HP EliteBook 840 G2 (Core i5, 8GB RAM, 500GB ROM) and two Dell Latitude E7470 (Core i5, 8GB RAM, 500GB ROM), are intended to enhance the administrative and academic operations of the institution.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Zacharys Anger Gundu, made the presentation on behalf of Senator Gemade. He expressed profound gratitude to the senator for his continuous support, emphasizing the significant impact the donation will have on examination management and data processing within the university.

During the handover, Professor Gundu presented the laptops to key academic departments. Recipients included Dr. J.D. Fanafa, Head of Mass Communication; Dr. Fred Ujah, Head of Chemical Science; and Dr. Joel Kanyi Tivde, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, who represented the Head of Accounting. Mrs. Shiminenge Dagenah from the Registry Department's Academic Unit also received a laptop.

Dr. Fanafa, speaking on behalf of the university, commended Senator Gemade for his generosity and commitment to the institution's growth. The donation was described as a monumental gesture that would contribute significantly to the university’s academic development.

Several dignitaries witnessed the event, which took place in the Vice-Chancellor's office, including Rev. J.N. Tseeneke (Registrar), Mrs. T.M. Aande (Examination Officer, Chemical Science Department), and Mr. Moses Aondofa Angbaa (ICT Unit). 

This donation marks another step in Senator Gemade’s longstanding support of the University of Mkar, further strengthening its academic and administrative capabilities.
