Prince Abubakar Audu University Debunks False Claims About Recent Empowerment Program

Recent false allegations concerning the representatives of Ebira Students from Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) who attended an empowerment program organized by Her Excellency, Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan, have prompted a need for clarification.

The following points aim to address and refute these misconceptions:

Financial Support: Each attendee received financial support as a token of appreciation for their participation.

Transportation Stipends: NAES PAAU representatives were provided with transportation stipends.

Start-Up Capital: A promise was made to disburse start-up capital to each chapter to support business initiatives.

Safe Return: All representatives from PAAU have returned safely, and there have been no issues.

Concerns regarding media coverage are also addressed. It is important to note that Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan’s official page listed only ten beneficiary schools, not all universities. During the program, it was stated that the empowerment would initially start with these ten schools, with plans to extend to all NAES chapters across Nigeria. The decision to proceed with this approach was solely at the discretion of Her Excellency, and there is no requirement for politicians to seek prior permission from NAES stakeholders before conducting such programs.

For any issues or concerns about the empowerment program, stakeholders are encouraged to contact Her Excellency directly. The representatives’ support is based on firsthand experience, including recorded speeches from the event, which are available upon request.

We extend our gratitude to Senator Natasha’s office for the support and resources provided, which are set to enhance both our academic pursuits and entrepreneurial projects.
