Professor Ayodele Anthony Bamidele Delivers 22nd Inaugural Lecture at Federal University Lokoja

On Wednesday, September 11, Professor Ayodele Anthony Bamidele, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, delivered the 22nd inaugural lecture at Federal University Lokoja (FUL), titled "Beyond Entertainment: Unraveling the African Novel as a Utilitarian Art."

The lecture, which was the 20th organized under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, showcased Professor Bamidele's scholarly journey of over two and a half decades as a Professor of Contemporary African Literature.

Professor Akinwumi, who constituted a standing committee on Inaugural Lectures upon assuming office in 2021, has prioritized the institutionalization of university culture, resulting in a significant increase in inaugural lectures and public lectures on topical issues.
