Professor Kingsley Ubaoji Assumes Office as Dean of Student Affairs at UNIZIK

On Monday, 9th February 2026, a formal handover ceremony was held to mark the assumption of office by the new Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Kingsley Ubaoji.

The brief ceremony took place in the Dean’s office, where the outgoing Dean, Professor Makodi Bierenu-Nnabugwu, expressed gratitude to God for a successful tenure and wished his successor a fruitful and impactful administration in managing student affairs.

In his remarks, Professor Ubaoji thanked those present for honoring the invitation despite the short notice. He described student administration as a serious responsibility and prayed for divine wisdom to effectively carry out the task. He also emphasized the importance of gratitude to God, noting that positions of authority and opportunity ultimately come from Him.

Those present at the ceremony included Professor Helen Agu, Associate Dean; Dr. Anthony Apiti, Sub-Dean 1; Dr. Segun Adeniyi, Sub-Dean 2; Surveyor Dr. Chukwubueze Onwuzuligbo, Immediate Past Sub-Dean 1; Dr. Ebele Deborah Uba, Immediate Past Sub-Dean 2; and the University Acting PRO, Mr. Njelita Louis.
