Corps Members of 2023 Batch B Stream 1 deployed to Rivers State NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp have been charged to see themselves as rare gems who must do exceedingly well in their host communities in order to immortalize themselves in the hearts and minds of the people through the execution of quality and life impacting Community Development Service projects.

Myschoolnews reports Rivers State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. George Mfongang gave the charge today when he debriefed the Corps Members.

Speaking further during the event, he advised the Corps Members to be role models and a source of inspiration to the students they will teach, families they will meet and indeed, every member of the host community where they are to serve through their exemplary character and conduct at all times.

He urged them to use the opportunity of the Service Year to rediscover themselves and create a value chain and positive impacts in the lives of the people.

Mr. Mfongang concluded by assuring the Corps Members that Rivers people will accord them warm reception and love if they remain good ambassadors of the Scheme and avoid negative tendencies that bring the image of the Scheme to bad repute.

The debriefing featured introduction of Zonal and Local Government Inspectors to the Corps Members, recognition of outstanding Corps Members with Letters of Commendation amongst others.
