Shehu Idris College of Health Science and Technology, Makarfi, Kaduna State, has successfully matriculated 1,012 newly admitted students for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor of Kaduna State University (KASU), Professor Abdullahi Musa, represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Professor Yusha’u Ibrahim Ango Makarfi, urged the new students to remain focused on their studies and abide by the institution’s rules and regulations. He emphasized the need for academic commitment and encouraged students to distance themselves from social vices.

In his address, the Provost of Shehu Idris College of Health Science and Technology, Makarfi (SICHST-MAKARFI), Malam Shehu Danlami, confirmed the admission of 1,012 students across various programs. He urged both academic and non-academic staff to be diligent in their assigned duties to ensure the smooth running of the institution.

The provost also admonished the newly admitted students to refrain from joining illegal clubs and associations, warning against involvement in drug abuse, secret societies, and other immoral acts such as homosexuality and lesbianism.

The matriculation ceremony was held at the college's main campus in Makarfi town, along Tashar Yari Road, about two kilometers from the Kaduna-Kano Expressway in Makarfi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria.
