State Coordinator Urges NYSC Plateau Corps Members to Leverage Skills from Camp Training

Mr. Jonathan I. Yavala, State Coordinator of NYSC Plateau, has encouraged Corps Members from the 2024 Batch "B" Stream II Orientation Course to further develop the skills acquired during the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) training. 

Speaking at the SAED exhibition and Inter-Platoon competition held at the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp, WAYE Foundation, Jos, Plateau State, Yavala praised the Corps Members for their impressive displays of talent and work. He emphasized that the training is designed to help them become self-reliant, generate revenue, and potentially become employers of labor.

Yavala urged both NYSC officials and Corps Members to support and patronize the products exhibited, highlighting that the achievements of the Corps Members in just 11 days demonstrate their potential for future excellence.

He extended his congratulations to the Corps Members for their active participation and expressed gratitude to SAED Monitoring Officer Mrs. Josephine Tende, camp officials, and trainers for their dedication.

Mrs. Stella Nnaji, Head of SAED on Camp, advised the Corps Members to continue refining their skills and to connect with their trainers to access potential loans from the Bank of Industries (BOI) after six weeks of service.

The competition winners were announced by Chief Judge Mr. Adams Ekele, with 4 Platoon securing first place in the shoe-making contest, 6 Platoon topping the bead-making contest, and 10 Platoon winning the makeup contest. The event featured exhibitions of the Corps Members' finished products, inspections by the State Coordinator and principal camp officials, and the presentation of prizes to the contest winners.
