SUG President, DSP UNICAL Joins Colleagues on Field Trip to Adagom 1 Settlement

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) President of the University of Calabar (UNICAL), Comr. Blessing Alims, along with Deputy Senate President Sen. Zipporah Victor, participated in a field trip to Adagom 1 settlement in Ogoja, Cross River State. The trip included colleagues from the Peace and Conflict Studies Unit of the Department of Political Science.

The field trip, aimed at promoting sustainable housing and enhanced livelihood for the transition to early recovery for Cameroon, is part of the department’s practical learning experience. Comr. Blessing Alims expressed her excitement about the initiative, stating, “As SUG President, I am committed to supporting initiatives that promote peace, conflict resolution, and sustainable development. This field trip is a great opportunity for us to learn and contribute to the well-being of our community.”
