The Vice-Chancellor of Sule Lamido University (SLU), Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai, FCASSON, MNAE, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, and University Management, has formally invited the general public to the institution’s 2nd Combined Convocation Ceremony, scheduled for April 2026.
The historic event, which encompasses the university's 3rd through 8th graduating sets, will feature a high-profile convocation lecture, the investiture of a new Chancellor, and the conferment of degrees.
The academic festivities will commence on Friday, 10 April 2026, at 10:00 AM with a Convocation Lecture titled:
“Climate-resilient Agriculture and Youth Engagement: Strategies for Transforming the Agricultural Sector in Jigawa State and Beyond.”
The lecture will be delivered by Professor Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, FCVSN, MNIM, the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC). The session, to be held at the Lecture Hall B, Career and Human Development Centre, will be chaired by Hon. Faruk Adamu Aliyu, CON.
The grand finale of the convocation is scheduled for Saturday, 11 April 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Convocation Arena, Main Campus. Key highlights of the day include:
