Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa Unveils New Bus Donated Under FGN Pi-CNG Initiative

Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa (SLUK) has unveiled a brand new 100-passenger capacity bus donated to the university under the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas (Pi-CNG).

The unveiling ceremony was attended by the Executive Governor of Jigawa State and Visitor to the University, Malam Umar A. Namadi.

The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Higher Education, Science and Technology, Professor Isa Yusuf Chamo, described the donation as a reflection of the government's commitment to improving the welfare of students and promoting sustainability in transportation.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai, expressed gratitude to the Governor for approving the bus for the university. He stated that the bus is a symbol of progress, care, and partnership between the government, student leadership, and the university. The Vice-Chancellor noted that the intervention is timely and will significantly ease students' transportation and promote cleaner energy use.

Both the Governor's representative and the Vice-Chancellor commended the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the generous donation of the CNG-Powered bus to the university. They also appreciated the National Vice-President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Muhammad Y. Sabo Ringim, for his role in facilitating the project.
