On September 11, 98 fourth-year nursing students from Tansian University Umunya commenced a one-month medical training program at Immaculate Heart of Mary Specialist Hospital.

The students were formally received by Dr. Aaron Shitery, the hospital's Chief Human Resources Manager, and Sr. M. Nkiruka C. Okafor IHM, the CEO, during a welcoming ceremony.
