Mr Jolayemi Kunle, the Schedule Officer for Service Innovation, NYSC Osun State, has sensitised the 2023 Batch B Stream 2 Corps Members on service innovation, encouraging them to work past problems and look for innovative solutions. 

Myschoolnews gathered he said this while conveying his faith in the Corps Members, he said the only barrier to their becoming solutions to problems is themselves, as where there is a will there will always be a way. He dissuaded the Corps Members from being the generation that complains. He stated that by letting go of their past and believing in themselves, they could be the solution the world is waiting for. 

Sighting examples of outdated brands like Blackberry and Nokia3310, as well as great innovators like Bunmi Otegbade, he highlighted the need for service innovation.

Jolayemi, addressing the Corps Members on the meaning of service innovation, at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Monday, said, "the general concept of service innovation involves developing and implementing new ideas, processes, or technologies to improve the quality, efficiency, and value of services provided to customers." 

He highlighted the need for engaging in critical thinking and idea commercialisation.

"The world has not reached the end of innovation," he said.

Going further, he advised Corps Members to take the role of mentors in their various places of primary assignments, organising quizzes, optimising local materials, and leveraging partnerships with the government. 

He ended his lecture by calling on individuals with innovative ideas to solve problems within and outside the Camp.
