Topfaith University Partners German-based Technology Group for Educational Work and Research Advancement

Topfaith University has partnered with Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG, Munchen, Germany, in a bid to boost the university’s research activities in the areas of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Myschoolnews report.

The agreement was set-up under Rohde & Schwarz’s cooperation program between university research centers and economy for the transfer of information and educational work. According to the agreement, Rohde & Schwarz will support Topfaith University with research and educational resources such as equipment and software applications. Also, under the agreement, conditions for training for the operation of equipment shall be mutually agreed by both Topfaith University and Rohde & Schwarz, Germany.

The University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Patrick Ebewo, said the partnership will boost visibility and research opportunities for both staff and students of the university. In his word “Our collaboration with Rhode & Schwartz (R&T) will promote research programmes at Topfaith University, Mkpatak, through the supply of equipment and software. The research collaboration under this effort will boost our science and engineering programmes as well as further our university’s international visibility drives.”

The university is to provide mutual support in form of integration of the equipment into teaching, lectures, and research work, as well as provide reference to the use of R&S equipment when publishing research data results.

In a recent event held in Abuja for African Universities tagged, ‘Forum for Innovation in African Universities (FIAU) 3rd Annual Global Conference’, Manfred Reitmeier, Vice President broadcast and amplifier systems at Rohde & Schwarz, GmbH, highlighted during his presentation that Topfaith University is the first and only university in Nigeria they have signed a collaborative educational agreement with and promised to ensure that the institution is fully supported in accordance with the terms of the MOU.
