UDUS Centre for Peace Studies to discuss Northern Nigeria's Insecurity
Under the leadership of Prof. Bashir Garba, Vice Chancellor of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), the Centre for Peace Studies is set to host a virtual discussion on northern Nigeria's insecurity.
Vanguard Press learned of the virtual discussion, scheduled to be held today, December 29, 2024, from 12 PM to 2 PM local time, through a pamphlet released by the Centre and shared across various media outlets.
Prof. Garba, the Vice Chancellor and Chief Host, alongside Prof. Mukthar Umar Bunza, Director of the Centre for Peace Studies and Convener, invites the general public to the Zoom symposium.
The event, themed "Lakurawa: The Emerging Security Threat in Northern Nigeria," will be anchored by Mr. Abubakar Sokoto Mohammed from the Department of Sociology at UDUS, while Bello Labaran Tangaza from the West African Network for Peace Building and Prof. T. M. Baba will be the respective discussants.
