UDUS Management Gives HOD Official Vehicle, Provides Bus for Clinical Posting

The management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), under the leadership of Prof. Bashir Garba, has given Dr Muhammad Sidi, the Head of Radiography Department, an official vehicle and provided a new bus for students doing their clinical postings.

Vanguard Press learned that this development, sponsored by the university management, occurred on April 16, 2025, following Dr Sidi's initial promise of easing the stress and cost of transportation to clinical postings.

Speaking with Vanguard Press, Aminu Ahmad Adili, a final-year Radiography student who serves as the department's Caretaker Committee Chairman (CTC), appreciated the university management, noting Dr Sidi's leadership as "a leverage to achieve academic excellence." 

The management's gesture and commitment to advancing student welfare, said Ahmad, is a timely means of addressing the high cost of transportation spent during clinical postings, field studies, research, and other collaborative projects.

In his words, "It's gladdening to know that our voices and needs matter," Ahmad reaffirmed, stating the positive impact of the management's action on student life.
