UNIABUJA Appoints Mrs. Islamiya Foyeke Abdulraheem as New Acting Registrar

The University of Abuja Governing Council has appointed Mrs. Islamiya Foyeke Abdulraheem as the Acting Registrar, effective from November 5, 2024, following the expiration of Malam Yahya Mohammed's tenure.

UNIABUJA Appoints Mrs. Islamiya Foyeke Abdulraheem as New Acting Registrar

The Governing Council of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has approved the appointment of Mrs. Islamiya Foyeke Abdulraheem as Acting Registrar. This decision was made during the Council's 71st Extra-Ordinary Meeting on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Mrs. Abdulraheem, a highly experienced administrator, will serve in this capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Registrar. She brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously held positions as Deputy Registrar in charge of the Vice-Chancellor's Office and Deputy Registrar, Establishment.

She takes over from Malam Yahya Mohammed, whose five-year tenure as Registrar will officially conclude on November 12, 2024. The University of Abuja community looks forward to Mrs. Abdulraheem’s leadership as she steers the institution through this transition period.
