The University of Abuja's Acting Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Aisha Sani Maikudi, has taken proactive steps to address recent rumors circulating on social media regarding potential kidnapping incidents on campus. In her communication to the university community, she reassured members that these rumors lack any factual basis, yet underscored the importance of security vigilance.
Dr. Maikudi encouraged students and staff to maintain their regular activities while remaining alert and aware of their surroundings. "Our commitment to your safety is unwavering, and we urge everyone to stay vigilant without succumbing to unnecessary alarm," she stated.
To bolster security, the university will see an increase in visible security personnel and patrol vehicles across campus.
