NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme Opens for Host Community Students
The Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has launched a special edition of its Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme for students from its host communities, celebrating NLNG’s 35 years of incorporation and 25 years of operations.
Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has announced the launch of a special edition of its Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme (UGSS), exclusively available for students from NLNG host communities. This initiative is part of NLNG’s celebration of its 35th anniversary and 25 years of operations in Nigeria, aimed at empowering exceptional students to complete their undergraduate education in public universities across Nigeria.
Eligibility Requirements for NLNG Scholarship Scheme
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
- Be Nigerian citizens from one of the NLNG host communities.
- Be currently enrolled in a federal or state-owned Nigerian university.
- Possess at least five O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English, in one sitting.
- Attain a minimum score of 200 in the UTME examination.
- Be a full-time undergraduate student in Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental, or Geo-sciences.
- Maintain a CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (or 3.0 on a 4.0 scale).
- Be between 18 and 25 years old.
- Not hold any other scholarship, bursary, or grant from another organization.
- Have no familial relations with NLNG staff.
- Provide a valid ID letter from the host community and the Local Government Council.
Application Process
To apply, candidates should follow these steps:
- Create an Account: Visit the NLNG UGSS application portal, register with a personal email, and activate the account using the link sent via email.
- Complete Application: Log in and fill in the required personal, educational, and other details. Applicants must ensure their names match those on all documents submitted.
- Upload Required Documents: Applicants need to upload a recent passport photo, O-Level and UTME results, admission letters, student ID card, birth certificate, local government letter of identification, National ID Number (NIN) slip, and an academic transcript. A community identification letter signed by the CDC Chairman or local ruler is also required.
- Submit Application: After reviewing all entries and verifying accuracy, applicants should click “Apply Now.” A confirmation email will be sent upon successful submission.
NLNG advises applicants to use only personal emails for their Scholastica accounts to ensure accuracy and security.
