UNICAL Announces Sales of Admission Forms for CES Programmes

The Director of Centre for Educational Services (CES) University of Calabar, Prof Francisca Bassey, on behalf of the Registrar of the institution, has announced the commencement of sales of admission forms for the 2024/2025 academic session into its Degree and Diploma programmes. 

The Unical CES Centre, runs an intensive diploma and degree Programmes, offering flexibility in lecture time often after regular business hours to accommodate the employed or entrepreneurs in the Institution. This programmes offers a veritable option that leads to the award of Degrees and Diploma certificates in the Arts, Sciences, Social Sciences and Education ( Dip, B.sc, B.A, B.ed, ) 

 The Centre also provides services to young secondary leavers whom were unable to get the JAMB cut off mark for admission on the underlisted discipline 

Courses offered 

The courses available for its degree programmes include but not limited to

Banking & Finance, Environmental Education,  Educational Technology, Economics, Sociology, Social Work,  Marketing, Linguistics & Communication Studies, Public Administration, Educational Management, Accounting and Business Management among others

While for the diploma programmes, the following courses are available; Public Administration, Local Government, Personal Management, Law, Social Works, Theatre and Media Studies, African and Asian Studies, Educational Technology , Environment Education, Business Administration and Library & Information Studies amongst others 

 Eligibility 

To be eligible, applicants must possess a minimum of 5 O' level credits pass in GCE, SSCE, NECO and NABTEB at not more than two sittings for Degree programmes and four (4) O' Level Credits for Diploma programmes inclusive of english language and subjects relevant to the candidates desired course domiciled in the Centre 

 Success Story of the Centre 

Speaking about the Centre and its success story, the Director of CES, Prof. Francisca Bassey stated that since the establishment in 1995 many students have graduated from the University through the various degrees courses domiciled in the Centre.

She encouraged candidates seeking admission into various degrees and in diploma programmes to take advantage of the opportunity before them, which is, to graduate with a degree certificate without going through the route to write JAMB and Post UTME.

The erudite Professor who also announced that the Directorate has put in place measures to ensure diploma students gain direct entry admission upon the completion of their two year programme assured that the directorate would make the programme more interesting and easy for candidates to progress through.

Interested candidates are requested to pay an application fee of 15,500 online with their ATM card or visit any commercial bank within their locality and request for the University of calabar CES application form 2024/2025 session on the E- transact platform
