UNICAL’s Best Graduating Student Secures Admissions to Cambridge and Oxford
Mouka has been awarded three fully funded scholarships: the Gates Cambridge Scholarship, the Mastercard Foundation Cambridge Scholarship, and the Mastercard Africa Oxford Initiative (AfOx) Scholarship.
Kamsi Mouka, the best graduating student from the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science at the University of Calabar (UNICAL) for the 2020/21 academic year, has secured admissions to both the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford. Mouka, who graduated with a CGPA of 4.73, will pursue an MPhil in Medical Science at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute (CRUK CI) at Cambridge.

In a Facebook post, Mouka expressed her excitement and gratitude, stating, “Today’s realities are yesterday’s dreams come true… I’m beyond thrilled to announce my admission into Cambridge and Oxford! I’m honored to have received three fully funded scholarships.” She thanked God, the i-Scholar Initiative (iSI), her friends and family, mentors, and referees for their support.
