The University of Delta, Agbor (UNIDEL) has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to introduce two new academic programmes for the 2025/2026 session.

The University of Delta, Agbor (UNIDEL) has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to introduce two new academic programmes for the 2025/2026 session.

The newly accredited courses are B.Sc. Data Science and B.Sc. Information Science, both within the Faculty of Computing.

The approval follows a successful resource verification exercise conducted by a panel of NUC experts, as confirmed in a release signed by Abubakar Girel, Acting Director of Academic Planning, on behalf of the NUC Executive Secretary.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Stella Chiemeke expressed delight at the development, urging staff to remain focused, diligent, and productive, emphasizing that the growth and success of the university is a collective effort.

With the addition of these programmes, UNIDEL’s total number of NUC-accredited courses now stands at 96, with plans underway to secure accreditation for additional programmes in the near future.
