UNIJOS Postgraduate Academic Calendar 2023
The University of Jos (UNIJOS) has unveiled its postgraduate academic calendar for the 2022/2023 academic session.
Amanna
The lectures are scheduled to run until Saturday, 23rd December 2023. After the lectures conclude, there will be a Christmas break from Saturday, 23rd December 2023 to Saturday, 6th January 2024.
Examination Period
Upon resumption, examinations are to commence immediately on Monday, 8th January 2024 and will end on Saturday, 20th January 2024. This critical assessment period serves as an evaluation of students’ academic performance throughout the semester.
Marking and Result Compilation
After the examinations, there is a window from Saturday, 22nd January to Saturday, 3rd February 2024 earmarked for marking and result compilation. This period is vital for faculty members to evaluate and input academic scores.
Departmental and Faculty Committee Meetings
The departmental postgraduate (PG) committee will meet on Monday, 5th February 2024, to consider the first semester examination results. Subsequently, the faculty PG committee meeting is set for Monday, 12th February 2024.

The Second Semester: A Synopsis
The Academic Activities
Lectures for the second semester are set to begin on Monday, 19th February 2024 and will run until Saturday, 18th May 2024. The examinations for this semester are scheduled from Monday, 20th May 2024 to Saturday, 1st June 2024.
Result Compilation and Committee Meetings
The marking and compilation of results will occur from Monday, 3rd June to Saturday, 15th June 2024. Following this, the departmental and faculty PG committees will convene on Monday, 17th June 2024 and Monday, 24th June 2024, respectively.
PG Board Meeting and Session End
The postgraduate board will meet to consider and approve the sessional examination results on Friday, 28th June 2024. The 2022/2023 academic session will officially conclude on Saturday, 29th June 2024.
