The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, welcomed members of the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON) for the accreditation of programmes in the Department of Estate Management.

UNILAG's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, welcomed members of the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON) on Monday, June 24, 2024, in preparation for the professional accreditation of programmes offered by the University’s Department of Estate Management. The visit aimed to ensure alignment with industry standards and enhance the quality of education provided.

During the meeting, Professor Ogunsola affirmed UNILAG's dedication to fostering partnerships with industry stakeholders to develop curricula that equip students with practical skills and knowledge. She highlighted the university's proactive approach in integrating critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills into the learning experience, preparing graduates to excel in diverse professional environments.

The Vice-Chancellor encouraged the accreditation team from ESVARBON, led by Registrar ESV Janet Shehu and members of the Education Committee, ESV Dr. Uche Egwuatu, Professor Timothy Oladokun, and ESV ’Dotun Bamigbola, to provide constructive feedback following their evaluation of the estate management programmes. This feedback is expected to guide necessary improvements and ensure programme excellence.

Present at the meeting were UNILAG’s Deputy Vice-Chancellors, senior university officials including the Ag. Registrar, Bursar, and University Librarian, as well as faculty members from the Department of Estate Management. The collaboration between UNILAG and ESVARBON underscores the university's commitment to academic excellence and professional relevance in estate management education.
