The University of Lagos (UNILAG) Distance Learning Institute (DLI) is set to inaugurate its Alumni Association on July 27, 2024, at the DLI Faculty Hall. This event aims to engage and include all past students, both within Nigeria and abroad.

Led by the Alumni Association Committee, this initiative is dedicated to ensuring that all alumni are well-informed and actively involved in the processes leading up to the inauguration and its ongoing activities. Mr. Oluwafemi Olawoyin, the Committee Chairman, emphasized the importance of the event in strengthening the bond among alumni and the Institute. “This is a significant milestone for the Distance Learning Institute. Our goal is to create a robust network of alumni who can contribute to the growth and development of our alma mater,” Olawoyin stated.

The Committee Secretary, Mr. Azeez Ogunyemi Roman, highlighted the efforts made to reach out to all former students. “The team is working diligently to contact and invite all graduates of the DLI,” he revealed. The official launch will feature a series of events, including keynote speeches, networking sessions, and opportunities for alumni to share their experiences and success stories.

The event will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing alumni from across the globe to join virtually. “All alumni of the University of Lagos Distance Learning Institute are encouraged to participate in this momentous occasion.
