UNILAG Management Pays Solidarity Visit to Chancellor in Maiduguri Following Floods

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) Management, led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, visited Maiduguri on October 4, 2024, to express solidarity with their Chancellor, Alhaji Abubakar Umar-Garbai El-Kanemi, following the devastating September floods in Borno State.

In a show of solidarity and support, the Management of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), led by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, visited Maiduguri on Friday, October 4, 2024. The delegation met with the Chancellor of UNILAG, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abubakar Umar-Garbai El-Kanemi, the Shehu of Borno, following the devastating flash floods that hit Borno State in September.

During the visit, Prof. Ogunsola conveyed the heartfelt condolences of the entire UNILAG community to the Chancellor and the people of Borno State, expressing the university’s readiness to provide any necessary assistance. She highlighted that the university stands with Borno during this difficult time and is committed to supporting recovery efforts.
